2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use tenzingperformance.com or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.

3. The data we collect

• Information you give us: when you complete our contact form or email us, we collect your name, work email address, company, role and the content of your message.
• Mailing list: if you tick the optional mailing list box, we record that you have consented to receive occasional updates and insights.
• Technical data: when you visit the site, our hosting provider and any analytics we use may collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. See the Cookies section below.

We do not ask for, or intentionally collect, special category data such as information about your health, ethnicity or political opinions. Please do not include such information in your message.

4. How we use your data and our lawful basis

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss working together. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• To send occasional updates and insights, only if you have opted in. Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• To operate, secure and improve the website. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe and effective website.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, who act on our instructions as our data processors:

• our email and productivity provider, Microsoft 365
• our website hosting provider, IONOS

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or an adequacy decision, to keep your data protected.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiry data: we keep this for as long as we need it to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you contact us again, then we delete it. We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months from last contact.
• Mailing list data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@tenzingperformance.com and we will respond within the timescales required by law.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work and, where you allow it, to understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies. You can manage your choices through the banner shown on your first visit and through your browser settings.

9. How to complain

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
